my.bibusmetals.de – open to all customers from January 2023
In late summer, BIBUS METALS GmbH started testing its digital platform mybibusmetals.de within a selected customer group. Due to its successful launch/introduction and high demand, the platform will be opened to all customers from January 2023. New for all users of this communication and ordering platform is also the possibility to select between delivery and collection. The mid-sized company, which specializes in trading high-performance materials in the form of nickel and nickel-based alloys, will be surprising with these innovations at Valve World Expo 2022 in Düsseldorf. Visitors can try out the platform live at the booth (1 A 75).
So far, selected customers have the option of accessing real-time availability and price information via my.bibusmetals.de. Managing Director Klaus Bökels describes one of the advantages of the new platform: “For example, costumers in a different time zone do not have to wait for the start of work in our office. In addition, we live in a changing world, where the predefined boundaries of the classic 9-till-5-job merge in the home office. Information about our products is requested at different times of the day”. Customers can create an offer online with little effort and thus achieve a time advantage. Likewise, recurring inquiries from merchants can be processed faster.
Even if the offer is automatically recorded in the ERP system and can be retrieved by the customer online at any time, an order does not have to be triggered via the platform. Instead, it should combine the traditional, analogue business with digitization. Bökels emphasizes: “We do not want either or, but best of both. Our sales team is still available to answer any questions you may have about our products”. Individual advice and personal contact with costumers have always been an important service at BIBUS METALS GmbH.
With the online platform, this service now also leads to an interactive exchange in digital ways.
